it also has 3 weights on the base of the mouse which can be removed but i havent removed the weights as i think it is not that heavy at all. i am using the Razer Megasoma mouse mat and it is a really good mat but it isnt as good as the mouse prefers but its still up there.
you can also check the surface that you use for your mouse and it will tell you if it is a good surface for the mouse or if it is bad. the software that it uses is really good with fine tuning with the dpi and the lift off height.
even once i got to the store and looked at it i still thought it was small but once i pulled it out of the box it was the perfect size compared to my old deathadder. upon looking at the reviews and pics online it did look a little small. i am also a fps player mainly but i occasionally play rpg, rts but not as much as fps.
